Adipotide (FTPP) is a peptidomimetic compound designed to target and disrupt the blood supply to adipose tissue by binding to prohibitin on the surface of blood vessels supplying fat deposits. By inducing apoptosis in the endothelial cells of adipose vasculature, Adipotide causes fat cell death through vascular disruption.
